BLUE as we call him, is registered with the ISDS as Roy. But it is such a common name and we already had another Roy in the kennels who was RED, so Blue he became as he is actually Slate Blue so very appropriate.
Blue as a work dog he is strong and powerful, full of confidence, he is very natural and easy to train and handle.
He is good to command, stylish, with good pace and flanks.
We use him on our sheepdog training clinics for beginner handlers to learn the art of controlling a sheepdog on stock.
As a pet/companion dog he is excellent, having a great "off switch" when there are no sheep around, he gets on well with almost all other dogs and takes everything in his stride, he is calm and bomb proof.
Blue loves his food and is very clever, motivated to learn how to open gates if there is food on the other side.
We love to show him off to visitors and
his puppies exhibit the same qualities of Off Switch and stylish working ability. Blue has offspring as herding and agility dogs.
